Update #18: Base Expansion, New Warning Indicators January 14, 2026
Details
New Features
- Base Expansion - Use HQ Base slots to expand your existing Base up to two times (add 15 slots for first expansion, 10 slots for second expansion)
- Base warning indicators - Added indicators to Bases list: Consumables running out, Factory not producing, and Buildings needing repair. In Settings, you can now specify thresholds at which the indicators are shown (including already existing ones)
- Galaxy Production chart now shows Used Quantity stat for materials
- Top Companies Medals section now shows your Company's rank for each category even if you're not in the Top 10
- Search bar added to Contracts - search by Company, material, or planet name
Bases
- Company Headquarters upgrades beyond level 10 now require more advanced construction materials (total material value remains roughly the same)
- Plot terraforming cost is now capped at 15 Construction Vehicles
- Relocating buildings in a Base is now free (previously 50 Stars)
- Relocating buildings in a Base is now available on mobile devices
- Added new Concise view mode for buildings (primarily useful for mobile devices)

Buildings
Shielding costs reduced on T2+ planets:
- Warehouse: 8 → 2 - Warehouses provide the same value on high-tier planets as on Tier 1 planets but were extremely expensive, which forced players to have small warehouses and make many ship trips to those planets daily
- Housing: 8 → 4
- Production Buildings unaffected by fertility/abundance: 8 → 1 (rounds to 2 at level 2) - Production Buildings provide the same value on high-tier planets as on Tier 1 planets. This change makes it more viable to have mixed bases as an alternative to two bases next to each other, reducing frequent shipping between them. Production Buildings affected by fertility/abundance remain unchanged
Ships
- Halved Tiridium and Quadranium Hull Plates needed for ship construction (still slightly more expensive than Basic Hull Plates). The cost of these was far higher than intended, making large ships very expensive.
- Halved Radiation and Heat Shielding required for ship construction, to make them more viable
Recipes
- Ship Interior Kit cost reduced: Pipes 10 → 4
- Cargo Bay Segment cost reduced: Truss 5 → 4
- Improved less profitable Research Data recipes (reduced Office Supplies and Tools costs):

Contracts
- Create Contract window material search now sorts the same way as the Exchange (Favorites → Type → Tier → Tech → Name)
- Contract fees are now included in the maximum price limit, so sellers can receive the same payment regardless of fee
- Filters setting in the Contracts UI now persists
- Contracts now sort by date of acceptance, fulfillment, or cancellation
- Added Contracts to notification settings
Pricing Adjustments
- Raised maximum material prices: soft cap increased from 195% to 225% of average price; hard cap increased from 485% to 785% of base price
- Lowered minimum material price hard cap: 22% → 16.5% of base price
UI Improvements
- Exchange price color-coding - Green (below 80% avg), yellow (above 125% avg), red (above 165% avg)
- Context menus (right-click or press-and-hold on mobile) now open faster and work on all devices, including iPhones
- On mobile, context menus now display tooltip text at the top (e.g., material names)
- Encyclopedia Building entries now display total workforce and housing at each level when Sum toggle is enabled

- Fixed bug where daily guild donation limits weren't resetting properly

- Guild finder now only shows guilds with active leadership (online in past 36 hours)
- Mission 'Donation Drive' buffed: ~25% better rewards, with occasional larger-scale versions available

Recipe Changes
We made some changes to make Pump more useful:
- Life Support System now requires Cooling System (instead of Coolant) and takes 15min longer to produce
- Cooling System now requires Pump (instead of Electronic Circuits)
- Filtration System now requires Pump (instead of Pipes)
Game Balance
We made some tech level tweaks, so the progression makes more sense:
- Office Supplies weight reduced: 0.3 → 0.2
- Advanced Circuit Board: Tech 5 → 4
- Console: Tech 4 → 5
- Fuel Tank: Tech 4 → 5
Exchange Changes
- Exchange offer merging changed - You can only add materials to existing offers if there are no same-priced offers below it (added after your offer). This removes any competitive advantage and makes merging purely a convenience feature

- Discord button added to the loading screen for quick support access
- Fixed text wrapping bug for CJK characters in guild tags
- Backend improvements to guild warehouses, donations, and buff systems
