Exchange

The Exchange is the central marketplace where players buy and sell materials. It is located in the center of the galaxy.

The Central Exchange

There is one Exchange station at the galaxy center. All player trading happens here. No direct player-to-player trading currently exists.

Why one Exchange?

  • Creates a unified market
  • Prevents market fragmentation
  • Forces strategic decisions about base location

Exchange Warehouse

Your Exchange warehouse is separate from your base warehouses. Materials must be in your Exchange warehouse to create sell offers, and purchased materials will arrive here.

Capacity: Starts limited and can be increased through guild Warehouse projects.

Buying Materials

Purchased materials arrive in your Exchange warehouse. You can buy from your own sell offers; this will not affect your cash but will cancel part of the offer.

Selling Materials

To sell materials, they must be in your Exchange warehouse.

Offer Combining: Creating an offer at the same price as an existing offer will add to that offer's quantity.

Federal Reserve

The Federal Reserve sells essential Tier 1 materials at fixed prices, which act as a price ceiling. The Federal Reserve's market stock replenishes automatically and is practically infinite.

Federal Reserve Purchases

When the economy is very low on cash, the Fed buys materials from players' sell offers to inject money back into circulation. It only purchases materials that have a good supply and are reasonably priced.

Price Limits

Each material has dynamic minimum and maximum prices based on recent trading. For materials offered by the Federal Reserve, the maximum price is one step below the Fed price.

Price Steps: Prices must follow specific increments that increase at higher price ranges. The interface automatically rounds your price to the nearest valid step.

Material Pricing

Current Price: The cheapest available sell offer price.

Average Price: A weighted average of recent trades, heavily favoring recent days:

  • Last 4 days: 16× weight
  • Days 5-7: 9× weight
  • Days 8-12: 6× weight
  • Days 13-22: 3× weight
  • Days 23+: 1× weight

The calculation stops after finding 14 days with actual trades.

Statistics

Click the pie chart icon on any material to view its historical data.

Chart displays (per day):

  • Average price from all trades that day.
  • Quantity traded that day (player purchases only).
  • Remaining supply at the end of the day (player offers only).
